ENGECON SUMMER SCHOOL — 2010

The business environment in Russia has been steadily improving since the transition of the country’s economy to a free market. Russian domestic markets are now open to foreign trade and investments thus linking the economy with the rest of the world. However, Churchill’s description of Russia as a «riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma» still very much holds true for outsiders looking in.

Therefore gaining some insight into the Russian mentality, culture and business climate are key for anyone seeking to invest or set up operations in Russia. For this purpose Saint-Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics (ENGECON), one of the leading Russian Universities with over a 100 years experience in educating top professionals in Economics and Management invites students to take part in the international project —
